Sharon L. Espersen, MS, ANP-C

Sharon Espersen recalls wishing to pursue a career in nursing and health care since she was five years old.  She’s been an Adult Nurse Practitioner for nearly 15 years and an RN for over 35 years. After completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (Walla Walla College), she began working on an intensive care unit. She worked with many patients suffering from heart and lung disease.

Ms. Espersen enjoyed the dual challenges of the ICU – the mix of high tech medicine with “up close and personal care” that’s necessary for full recovery. This combination – plus the patient education component of her work that’s so helpful when people are dealing with traumatic cardiology events—has made her specialty in cardiology very satisfying.

Ms. Espersen completed her Master’s of Science at Loma Linda University and her Adult Nurse Practitioner degree at Oregon Health Science University. Married for over thirty years with two grown sons, Ms. Espersen loves international travel during her free time, and has visited China, Thailand, Europe and Africa. She also enjoys cycling, gardening, quilting and baking pizza in her outdoor pizza oven.
