Deb Tabulov, NP

Deb Tabulov grew up in New Jersey. As a young girl she studied tap, jazz and ballet with professional dancers on Broadway in New York City. When she was ten, Deb remembers being asked by her frustrated dance instructor,“How are you ever going to be a professional dancer?” Deb quickly responded with, “I don't even want to be a dancer. I want to be a surgeon." Shortly thereafter, the instructor threw her out of the class.

While never fulfilling that childhood dream to become a physician, Deb has spent her entire career learning about medicine and sharing that knowledge with others. She received her nursing degree from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Jersey City, NJ and then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, N.J. Deb’s hunger for knowledge led her to Boston University where she received her Master’s in Nursing and became a Cardiopulmonary Clinical Specialist. Later Deb attended Simmons College, also in Boston, to become an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Deb’s most recent academic endeavors took her to Widener University where she became certified as a Legal Nurse Consultant.

Deb's professional career includes experience in the ICU, CCU and Emergency Room settings. She has been a preceptor for paramedics and lectured for certified emergency nurses. She is an instructor of both basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).

Prior to joining Salem CardioVascular Associates, Deb worked for nine years with Dr. Roseborough at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She is an avid baseball fan and former season ticket holder of the Baltimore Orioles. In her spare time she likes to travel, to swim, listen to music and spend time with her dog.
